Hmmm...it's been quite a few months since I set up and posted to this site. There was good deal of enthusiasm at that time and the rush of a new project. Then Life in the ABLE World struck. End of the school year, deadlines for final reports, setting up for a new school year, changes at the state level, you-name-it.
Without trying, this is a strong example of what happens to many of us who want to pursue education and/or training or start in a new direction and then life happens. We are pulled toward those things elbowing us in the ribs. It becomes hard to focus or continue doing something that is really a step forward overall.
My husband has read a book by Steve Ferrar called Finishing Strong. The spiritual insights part of the book may not be your cup o' tea, but the jist of the book talks about how important it is to live in such a way that you maintain sight of what is important and don't give up until you've crossed the finish line.
I'd like to live more on the concept of continuing strong. Keep on trying. Build ongoing strength. Get back into the groove. Post to that blog again! Soon it will become more of a habit and confidence will grow. It will become part of the "norm."
What about you? Is there something in your world that could use your commitment to continuing strong?
Welcome to the ABLE world!
This is an attempt to share the impact of ABLE on my life and those of the adults who step onto a new path with stronger academic skills and a fresh outlook toward their future.
